Base Oil

At ESM Manufacturing recycled base oils are manufactured for products like metal processing fluids, lubricating greases and motor oil.

We obtain extremely pure base oils, which are suitable when quality requirements are particularly stringent by using hydrogenation technology.

We deal in Group I base oils (solvent refined) and Group II base oils (hydrotreated) obtained from a distinct selection of refineries throughout the kingdom, as well as worldwide.

Group 1

Base stocks contain less than 90 percent saturates and/or greater than 0.03 percent sulfur and have a viscosity index greater than or equal to 80 and less than 120.

Group 2

Base stocks contain greater than or equal to 90 percent saturates and less than or equal to 0.03 percent sulfur and have a viscosity index greater than or equal to 80 and less than 120.

ESM Manufacturing’s conversant and qualified team comprehends the technical needs of its customers. Our expert operations group provides customers with complete logistics and customs support, including transportation ranging from oceangoing tankers to flexi and iso tanks, barges, railcars, and tanker trucks serving inland locations as per requirement.

Following are the range of products related to Group 1 Base Oil Recycle available:

Group I Base Oils (Mineral-Solvent refined)

Group 1 (Solvent Refined) base oils are the least refined of all the groups. At ESM Manufacturing we use solvents to leech out impurities so it can be further processed. This method is quite standard and is the minimum when refining base oils. The mix after refining is made up from different hydrocarbon chains. Some automotive oils on the market use Group 1 stocks. They are defined as having a viscosity index between 80 and 120 while the level of Sulphur is larger than 0.03% and Saturates less than 90%.

SN500

DESCRIPTION
SN500 base oil recycle is defined as a light grade base oil at the upper end of the specifications for Grade 1 base oils. They are largely used in lubricant manufacture. It is a Group 1 base oil, which has gone through solvent refining and dewaxing processes. To give a final touch to the refining it was hydrogen treated to clear out any impurities left in.

SN500 base oil recycle can be further sorted out into three categories:

  • SN 500 (a)
  • SN 500 (b)
  • SN 500 (c)

SN 500 (A)

DESCRIPTION
SN 500 (A) is described as a light grade base oil at the upper end of the specs for Grade 1 base oils. SN500 (a) is mainly used in lubricant production. It is a Group 1 base oil which goes through solvent refining and dewaxing processes. To finish the refining it is hydrogen treated to clear out any impurities left in.

USED IN
SN 500 (A) base oil recycle serves as a base stock for several industrial lubricants
